Primate Elijah Ayodele’s prophecies suggest several PDP governors will work for the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, with recent political moves in Akwa Ibom and Osun appearing to confirm his predictions
As Nigerians gear up towards the next presidential election in 2027, the political landscape is rife with strategic moves, both in favour of and against the incumbent president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While some groups are actively working to dislodge President Tinubu by forming new alliances and mobilising aggrieved politicians, others are equally committed to solidifying his hold on power for a second term.
Amidst this fervent political maneuvering, significant attention has been drawn to prophetic revelations by Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, concerning the opposition, particularly the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The PDP, as the major opposition party, is naturally expected to mount a strong challenge to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
However, Primate Ayodele, in a prophetical statement released in April, indicated that some governors within the PDP would negotiate with the APC, even to the detriment of their own party’s presidential candidate.
It would be recalled that Primate Ayodele had earlier in the year forewarned that the PDP might ultimately fail to produce a presidential candidate for the 2027 elections if internal issues were not addressed.
These were his words: “They need to run to God if not the party won’t survive 2027. PDP is dying with speed and those that can save the party won’t listen. In some states like Lagos, the party’s candidate will not see the light of the day.
If care isn’t taken, PDP will not be able to produce a candidate in 2027 because there is a satanic spell on them. Important personalities will continue to decamp.”
Weeks following this initial statement, the prophet specifically named some governors within the PDP who, he predicted, would not actively support their party’s presidential candidate but would instead forge deals with the ruling APC, effectively working towards securing a second term for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
His precise words were: “PDP governors have been compromised. More of them will still join APC like Akwa Ibom, Enugu.
Anambra and Oyo states will be negotiated; Osun will also be negotiated for the APC. There is nothing like the PDP governors’ forum anymore, the governors will all work against the party.” (As reported by Tribune Online).
Interestingly, among the states mentioned by Primate Ayodele, the governor of Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno, has recently declared his intention to decamp to the APC.
Reports indicate that he has even warned his commissioners that failure to join him in defecting to the ruling party would lead to their dismissal.
Similarly, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has been observed engaging more frequently with APC political figures.
He recently visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Lagos residence, accompanied by his elder brother and popular musician, David Adeleke, also known as Davido.
While the specific details of their meeting remain undisclosed, it is widely speculated to be connected to the unfolding political dynamics ahead of the 2027 election.
This development echoes a past prophecy by Primate Ayodele concerning the defection of the Delta State governor.
Primate Ayodele has consistently maintained that more PDP governors will still join the APC.
With one of the four governors he specifically mentioned having declared an intention to decamp, and another seemingly engaged in negotiations, the coming days are expected to provide further confirmation of these political shifts and prophetic pronouncements as the race to 2027 intensifies.
