Soludo swears in appointees including SSG in Anambra, urging dedication and service as new officials assume office
Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, on Wednesday swore in Mrs Chiamaka Nnake as Secretary to the State Government alongside 13 other key appointees at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Awka.

Mrs Chiamaka Nnake took the oath of office with the new officials at about 12:47 p.m., marking the first batch of appointments under the administration’s renewed governance structure.
Before the ceremony, former Solicitor-General Mrs Ngozi Iwouno administered the oath of office on the new Attorney-General, Tobechukwu Nweke, who subsequently swore in the other appointees.
Addressing the officials, Chukwuma Soludo said each appointee had undergone a rigorous selection process and described their roles as a serious call to service.
He urged them to prioritise teamwork, discipline, and dedication in delivering results for the people of Anambra State.
The governor noted that the appointments represent the first phase of a broader plan, adding that more appointments would follow.
He emphasised that public office should not be seen as an avenue for personal gain but as an opportunity to serve with sacrifice and responsibility.
Other appointees sworn in include Head of Service Mrs Ngozi Iwouno; Principal Secretary to the Governor Joachim Anetoh; Chief of Staff Dr Ben Nwankwo; and Commissioner for Finance Uzochukwu Okafor.
Also inaugurated were Chief Press Secretary Christian Aburime; Deputy Chief of Staff Dr Vincent Okechi; Special Adviser on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals Dr Godwin Nnadozie; and Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation Ms Chinwe Okoli, among others.

Chukwuma Soludo further appealed to families of the appointees to limit personal demands, stressing that their primary responsibility is to the state.
