APC governorship aspirant Olajide Adediran (Jandor) pledges to prioritize welfare, infrastructure, education, and healthcare for Lagos residents if elected in 2027
Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, the APC governorship aspirant in Lagos State and Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, has pledged to prioritise the welfare of residents if elected governor in 2027.

Speaking on Saturday at the 8th Annual Ramadan Lecture in Ikeja, Jandor emphasised that the core responsibility of government is to improve the quality of life for citizens.
“The primary duty of any government is to enhance the quality of life of its citizens,” he said, adding that policies under his administration would focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare, and essential services.
Jandor stated that government should create a conducive environment for economic growth rather than directly engaging in business activities.
He highlighted targeted investments in key sectors as vital to addressing Lagos’ current economic challenges.
The APC chieftain also praised the resilience of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, which has remained cohesive for nearly a decade despite setbacks after the 2023 elections.
“After the 2023 elections, many expected that I would tell our supporters to disperse, but we see that experience as a test of faith,” Jandor said.
He also noted the historic lack of representation from the Badagry Division in Lagos State governance, expressing hope that the area’s aspiration could be realised.
At the event, guest lecturer Abdulhakeem Muhammadu Awwal delivered a presentation titled ‘Economic Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation: The Islamic Perspective’, urging for a more organised system to manage Zakat.

He recommended committees of technocrats to ensure transparent distribution of Zakat funds into entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, and support for vulnerable citizens.
