The Bwala criticises Obi supporters remarks were made in a post on X, where the presidential aide reacted to a cartoon depicting him holding a glass of water during a recent interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan.
Bwala argued that political and governance discussions must be understood within context, stressing that perceptions often differ depending on outlook and interpretation.
He said intellectual debate required balance, adding that “context matters” when assessing political challenges and public policy decisions.
In his post, Bwala stated that progress in governance is shaped by process and challenges, noting that setbacks are often part of national development.
However, the remarks took a sharper tone as he directed criticism at supporters of the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, commonly known as “Obidients”.
He accused them of consistently viewing national developments through what he described as a pessimistic lens, suggesting that their outlook reflects frustration rather than constructive engagement.
Bwala contrasted what he termed positive and negative perspectives, describing optimism as essential to national progress while framing pessimism as counterproductive.
His comments have added fresh tension to ongoing political debates between supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress All Progressives Congress and the Labour Party Labour Party, as online political exchanges continue to intensify.
The presidential aide maintained that constructive criticism should be rooted in context, insisting that governance requires patience and an understanding of gradual progress.
