Sani disclosed in a post on X that lawyers, court officials and party representatives were already seated inside the courtroom, awaiting the arrival of a five-member panel of justices expected to deliver rulings on the politically sensitive cases.
The Supreme Court PDP ADC judgment tension was palpable, according to Sani, who characterised the atmosphere as “tense and solemn” as stakeholders prepared for what is widely seen as a decisive moment for both opposition parties.
He noted that counsel representing various parties had begun arriving gradually, while court staff were already in place, with proceedings marked by quiet anticipation and subdued anxiety.
Sani further stated that members aligned with the Taminu Turaki faction were hopeful of a favourable outcome, adding that many in the courtroom were engaging in prayers ahead of the judgment.
According to him, the mood reflected both uncertainty and expectation, with parties seeking clarity on long-standing internal disputes that have shaken the leadership structures of both political platforms.
The Supreme Court is expected to rule on appeals connected to leadership crises in the PDP and ADC, with the ADC case marked SC/CV/180/2026 scheduled for 2pm, while the PDP matter is also listed for determination on the same day.
The ADC dispute stems from disagreements over party leadership recognition, following earlier decisions by the Independent National Electoral Commission Independent National Electoral Commission, which declined to recognise certain claimants due to prior rulings and pending litigation.
In the PDP case, the apex court is expected to consider an appeal seeking validation of the party’s national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025.
