APC Osun election campaign intensifies as Hope Uzodinma urges council members to focus on securing victory in the August 15 governorship poll
Hope Uzodinma, Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the Osun State governorship election, has charged members of the party’s campaign team to prioritise victory at the August 15 poll, describing the assignment as a serious political mission.

Uzodinma gave the directive on Monday during a meeting of the APC campaign council held at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, where he urged members to concentrate on strategies capable of delivering success for the party.
The Imo governor told the council that the campaign should not be viewed as a social gathering but as a responsibility requiring commitment, planning and effective coordination.
“We have only one mission, to win the election. Everything can come after the elections,” Uzodinma declared.
He directed the council’s various subcommittees to immediately begin their work and submit their proposals before Thursday, stressing that every member had a role to play in strengthening the party’s campaign structure.
“We have directed all the subcommittees to meet immediately and submit their ideas and proposals before Thursday. Every member of this council belongs to a subcommittee and has a role to play in ensuring our success in the August 15 governorship election,” he said.
Uzodinma explained that the purpose of the meeting was to give the subcommittees a clear mandate to develop practical strategies and provide support services that would improve the party’s chances at the polls.
He also instructed committee chairmen to submit their resolutions and recommendations to the council’s national secretary, adding that the Central Working Committee would assist in implementing workable proposals.
The push reflects the APC’s broader effort to strengthen its campaign organisation ahead of the Osun governorship election, where political parties are expected to compete for voter support across the state.
APC Osun election campaign comes amid heightened political activity as candidates and party structures intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the August 15 contest.
The election is expected to test the strength of competing political platforms and their ability to connect with voters on key issues.
