The proposal, anchored on the administration’s commitments under the Zamfara budget growth agenda, allocates N715 billion to capital expenditure and N147.2 billion to recurrent spending.
Governor Lawal said the capital-heavy plan reflects his administration’s determination to accelerate infrastructure renewal, modernise key sectors and sustain the reform gains recorded over the past year.
The health sector received the largest share with N87 billion, matched by another N87 billion for agriculture, while education was allocated N65 billion.
The governor also earmarked N45 billion for public order and safety, N22 billion for environmental protection and N17 billion for social protection, noting that these sectors are central to the state’s long-term development resilience.
He emphasised that the 2026 plan marks the next stage of his government’s rescue, reform and revival mandate, which he said has begun restoring public confidence and improving governance standards.
Describing the 2026 appropriation as a budget of stability and growth, Governor Lawal stressed that it is designed to deepen the administration’s Six-Point Rescue Agenda.
He said the plan will strengthen security architecture, enhance agricultural productivity, improve healthcare delivery, expand access to quality education and empower young people, women and vulnerable groups.
