Osun ADC candidates for the 2027 elections have been unveiled across three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies and 26 Assembly seats
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Osun State has unveiled candidates for three senatorial seats, nine House of Representatives constituencies and all 26 State House of Assembly constituencies ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party announced the candidates in a statement issued on Monday by its Publicity Secretary, Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, urging residents across the state to take note of the nominees and support the party in the forthcoming elections.
The development marks a significant expansion of the ADC’s electoral presence in Osun as political parties begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 polls.
For the Senate, Akeem Olaoye will contest the Osun Central Senatorial District, while Senator Adelere Oriolowo will represent the party in Osun West.
Babatunde Olaniyi Loye is the ADC candidate for Osun East Senatorial District.
The party has also fielded candidates across all nine federal constituencies in the state.
Akinlabi Olusegun will contest Ifedayo/Ila/Boluwaduro Federal Constituency, while Barrister Olayinka Oyefusi will represent the party in Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin.
Taofeek Arogundade is the candidate for Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun, while Tajudeen Ajagbe will contest Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo.
For Iwo/Olaoluwa/Ayedire, the ADC has presented Gbenga Ogunkanmi, while Bolarinwa Ibraheem will contest Irewole/Isokan.
The remaining House of Representatives candidates are Sikiru Ayedun for Ife North/Ife East/Ife Central/Ife South, Olowu Sunday for Obokun/Oriade and Ajibola E. Oladimeji for Ijesa South.
The ADC has also completed its slate for the 26 State House of Assembly constituencies, giving the party representation across every constituency in Osun.
Among the candidates are Akanbi Kehinde Joshua for Ifedayo, Oyedotun Olalekan for Ila, Oyetola Kayode for Boluwaduro and Wahab Kazeem O. for Ifelodun.
Oluyemisi Titilayo A. will contest Odo-Otin, while Muhammed Ismail A. is the candidate for Orolu/Irepodun. Lateef Mumini Abayomi will contest Olorunda, Tiamiyu Idris will contest Osogbo and Hammed Sakirat Adefunke will contest Ede North.
The party has also nominated Akanni Saburi A. for Ede South, Oyewumi Naheem Alani for Egbedore and Akinyemi Philip for Ejigbo.
Adigun Adekunle M. will contest Iwo, Opadola Abdullahi M. will contest Olaoluwa, Ogunrinu Oguntunji A. will contest Ayedire, Olaniyi Sariat will contest Ayedaade, while Najeem Sunday will contest Isokan/Irewole.
For the Ife constituencies, the party has presented Oyeniyi Isaac Kolawole for Ife North, Omisakin Mojred for Ife East, Ayodeji Oluwaseyi E. for Ife Central and Gbamilá Jacob for Ife South.
The remaining Assembly candidates are Omole Mathew Oluseye for Ilesa West, Olayiwola Olalekan O. for Ilesa East, Olanrewaju Samuel for Atakumosa East/West, Oginni Gideon for Oriade and Bakare Kayode for Obokun.
The breadth of the ADC’s candidate list means the party will compete across virtually every level of legislative representation in Osun, from the National Assembly to the state legislature.
The party said its candidates offered voters an alternative ahead of the 2027 elections, describing them as an opportunity for “quality representation, purposeful leadership and a stronger democratic future” for Osun residents.
The unveiling comes as political activity gathers momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, with opposition parties seeking to expand their influence beyond their traditional strongholds.
For the ADC, presenting a full slate across Osun represents an attempt to build an organised statewide structure rather than focus solely on a handful of high-profile contests.
The party’s next challenge will be to convert the breadth of its candidate list into electoral support at the grassroots.
That task will depend on the strength of its campaign organisation, the popularity of individual candidates, voter mobilisation and the wider political alliances that emerge before the elections.
Osun remains an important political battleground in the South-West, with competition among established and emerging political forces expected to intensify as the 2027 elections approach.
By presenting candidates across the state’s three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies and 26 Assembly constituencies, the ADC has now formally placed its legislative ambitions before Osun voters.
