In a post on his verified X handle, Shehu employed sarcastic language to comment on the situation, suggesting that political realities had overtaken procedural delays.
“DAUDA LAWAL DARE: PRAYERS ANSWERED?” Shehu wrote, adding religious metaphors: “He knocked and the door was wide opened. He sought and asked and was granted all that is feasible and possible.”
Shehu further highlighted what he described as the absence of patience or ceremony in the current political scene. “No more leg dragging. No more knee jacking. No more grand standing. No more swearing. No more prayers. Survival instinct is the only visible human reality,” he stated.
The commentator concluded with pointed political jabs, congratulating the All Progressives Congress, expressing sympathy for the PDP, and making a sardonic remark about the African Democratic Congress. He also referred to former President Olusegun Obasanjo as “on limbo.”

Governor Lawal had previously stated that his political trajectory would depend on the outcome of a Court of Appeal judgment regarding the leadership dispute within the PDP, specifically the legality of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki’s leadership and the party’s Ibadan convention.
The ongoing legal proceedings continue to fuel speculation about potential defections and party realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
