The All Progressives Congress (APC) has told the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to resolve its internal leadership crisis rather than blame the ruling party for its court setbacks.
In a statement issued on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC dismissed allegations that it was involved in the legal dispute that led to the nullification of the David Mark-led National Working Committee of the ADC.
The statement followed a Federal High Court judgment in Abuja that sacked the Mark-led leadership and invalidated decisions taken under it, including processes related to the party’s 2027 presidential primary.
Morka said the case was an internal ADC matter initiated by members of the party against its own leaders.
“The APC is neither a party nor an interlocutor in the matter. Nothing about the case has anything to do with the APC,” he said.
The ruling party accused the ADC of selectively criticising the judiciary when court decisions go against it, while praising the courts when rulings favour its position.
The APC urged the opposition party to take responsibility for its internal challenges and resolve them.
