The party issued the statement through its Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, describing Akinleye as “bringing monumental shame” to the state and asserting that his actions have undermined public confidence in the government.
The allegations were highlighted by Saadat Ottun, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sally Tibbot Consulting Limited, and have circulated widely on social media.
The APC criticised the administration for appointing officials “grossly deficient in managerial skills” to key government positions.
Comparing Akinleye to previous Chiefs of Staff, including Elder Peter Babalola under former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Gboyega Oyetola under former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, the APC said the current officeholder falls short of the standards set by his predecessors.
The party also alleged that Akinleye had exceeded his official duties and misused his position for personal gain, urging him to resign without delay to restore credibility to the state administration.
