In a statement issued in Lokoja, ADC State Secretary John Adaji categorically denied signing any suspension letter or participating in any process that led to such action.
He described the claims as “null and void” and not aligned with the party’s constitution.
“For the avoidance of doubt, no state meeting endorsed any disciplinary action.
Under our constitution, such a process must begin at the ward level before escalating to the local government and then the State Working Committee (SWC),” Adaji explained.
He criticized the misuse of his name, calling the Leke Abejide suspension story “reckless, unconstitutional, and destabilizing.”

Adaji urged party stakeholders and members nationwide to disregard the false reports, reaffirming that Hon. Abejide remains a valued and bona fide member of the ADC.
