The Independent National Electoral Commission made the announcement on Monday through its Secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, confirming that the online application process for media accreditation is now live.

According to the statement, media organisations wishing to assign reporters, camera crews, or other personnel to cover the election must visit the official accreditation portal at [https://imap.inecnigeria.org](https://imap.inecnigeria.org).

“The accreditation process began on September 1, 2025, and will close at exactly 12:00 am on Friday, October 24, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted,” the commission stated.

To ensure smooth communication, INEC also released two helpline numbers for enquiries: 07088844564 and 08032861058.

The commission emphasised that the accreditation step is mandatory for any media organisation seeking access to polling units, collation centres, and other election-related activities.

This development is part of INEC’s ongoing effort to enhance transparency, improve logistics, and promote responsible journalism during electoral processes.
