NNPP’s Kano Chairman dismisses Kwankwaso ADC defection rumours as politically driven, urging the public to rely on facts and avoid baseless speculation

Speaking with journalists on Monday, he said the speculation lacked truth and was intended to destabilise the party.
“Kwankwaso is not the type of politician who makes hasty decisions without careful thought,” Dungurawa said.
“The idea of him joining the ADC or any other party is a miscalculation by those unsettled by the strength of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.”
He added that political rivals fear Kwankwaso’s increasing influence across the North. “He is widely regarded as the political leader of Northern Nigeria. It is both premature and malicious to suggest he is defecting.”
Commenting on Kwankwaso’s interactions with other political figures, he noted, “As a politician with a PhD in the field, do you expect him to hide or avoid people? Certainly not. It’s normal political conduct.”

Dungurawa concluded by advising Nigerians to rely on verified information. “We are deliberate and calculative people. Any decision of that magnitude would be made known publicly,” he said.
