Senator Effiong Dickson Bob is a seasoned Nigerian legal practitioner and politician from Akwa Ibom State.
His extensive political career spans over three decades, marked by diverse roles at both state and national levels.
Bob began as a Councilor for Works and Transport in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area in 1990, swiftly rising to become Deputy Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (1992-1993).
He later served as Chairman of Nsit Ubium LGA (1996-1997) and Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Akwa Ibom State (1999-2002).
His national prominence soared with his election as Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District in 2003, a position he held until 2011.
During his time in the Senate, he chaired significant committees including Senate Services, Finance, and Power and Steel, demonstrating a deep understanding of legislative processes and national development.
