Yahaya Exposes Shocking Forgery Plot in Zamfara ADC Membership

Abdulrahaman Yahaya and supporters raise the alarm over alleged Zamfara ADC membership forgery in Anka and Talata Mafara, filing a Federal High Court suit to safeguard party integrity ahead of 2027 polls

Aspirant Abdulrahaman Yahaya and his supporters in the African Democratic Congress have raised serious concerns over alleged attempts to forge and manipulate party membership records in Anka and Talata Mafara Local Government Areas, just days before key internal processes intensify.

Nura Rabiu Cibiki, Director of Media and Strategy for Yahaya’s Campaign and Mobilisation Committee, issued the strongly worded statement on Wednesday in Gusau on behalf of members and supporters in the federal constituency.

The group warned that any duplication or alteration of legitimate membership figures and card numbers could gravely undermine trust and deepen existing divisions within the party at this sensitive time.

“We strongly oppose any move to manipulate or duplicate legitimate membership figures, warning that such actions would only worsen existing tensions within the party and the Anka/Talata Mafara Federal Constituency,” the statement declared.

Supporters insisted they possess a clear understanding of the authentic membership strength in the area and stand ready to defend the records against any improper interference.

The statement concluded on a note of quiet resolve: justice may be delayed, but the truth could not be denied.

Yahaya has now taken formal legal steps. He filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Gusau, challenging alleged irregularities in the party’s primary election process for the House of Representatives seat in the constituency.

The court has scheduled the matter for mention on 23 June 2026.

This latest episode forms part of a broader pattern of internal friction within the Zamfara State chapter of the ADC.

Earlier in 2026 the party experienced leadership splits and reconciliation challenges, including tensions following the arrival of prominent figures such as former Senator Kabiru Marafa.

Factional disputes have surfaced periodically over transparency, delegate selection, and control of party structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Nationally, the ADC continues to navigate leadership questions and factional claims, yet local actors in Zamfara appear determined to protect grassroots integrity in their respective zones.

Yahaya, viewed by supporters as a credible contender with strong local ties, has positioned the legal action and public statement as necessary steps to ensure fairness rather than escalate conflict.

Party members in Anka and Talata Mafara have expressed hope that swift resolution of the court case will restore confidence and allow focus to return to building a united front capable of offering a genuine alternative in the constituency.
