Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, born June 19, 1963, is the current Executive Governor of Delta State, a position he assumed in 2023.
Prior to his governorship, Oborevwori had a distinguished career in the Delta State House of Assembly, where he served as Speaker from 2017 to 2023, making him the first to hold the position consecutively.
Representing the Okpe State Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he built a reputation as a consensus builder, fostering strong relationships across Delta’s diverse ethnic groups.
His political journey began as a Councillor in 1996, progressing through various local government roles. Oborevwori holds a B.Sc. in Political Science from Ambrose Alli University and an M.Sc. in Political Science from Delta State University.
Known for his humility and accessibility, he is seen as a leader dedicated to the unity and development of Delta State.
