Solomon Dalung is a Nigerian lawyer, academic, and politician who gained national prominence as the Minister of Youth and Sports from 2015 to 2019, under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Born on September 26, 1964, in Plateau State, Dalung holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Jos.
Prior to his ministerial appointment, he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Jos, and was actively involved in human rights advocacy.
His tenure as Minister of Youth and Sports was characterized by his distinctive red beret and his often outspoken views on national issues, which sometimes generated public debate.
