Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki is a seasoned Nigerian politician with extensive legislative and executive experience.
She served as a member of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003, representing Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency, before being elected as a Senator for Kwara Central Senatorial District, a position she held for two terms from 2003 to 2011.
In the executive arm, she notably served as the Minister of State for Transportation from 2019 to 2022 and later as the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development from 2022 to 2023.
A sister to former Senate President Bukola Saraki, she has carved out her own significant political career, advocating for national development and women’s issues.
