In a post shared on his official X account after returning from Brazil and Japan, Tinubu stated that every handshake and agreement made abroad serves a single purpose: “to secure opportunities that translate into growth, jobs, and prosperity for Nigerians.”

“It feels good to be back home,” Tinubu wrote. “My mission is to build a Nigeria that is confident abroad and resilient at home.”

During his diplomatic tour, Nigeria signed five key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), including a Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) with Brazil.

This agreement paves the way for direct commercial flights between both countries.

Air Peace CEO Allen Onyema hailed the development, calling it a “milestone achievement” of the Tinubu administration.

He announced that the airline would launch three weekly flights between Nigeria and Brazil starting in November, with plans to expand to Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Lagos.

In Japan, President Tinubu secured over $1 billion in trade agreements, particularly in industry, technology, and human capital development.

“This is the new Nigeria we are building together — one built on sustainable reforms that will outlast us, not on empty rhetoric,” Tinubu affirmed.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, echoed the President’s sentiment, saying that Tinubu’s diplomacy is already yielding practical results.
