African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Dele Momodu has publicly dismissed a viral campaign poster suggesting he is running as vice presidential candidate alongside former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The Dele Momodu Atiku campaign poster, branded “AtiDele 2027,” circulated widely on social media, portraying Atiku Abubakar as a presidential candidate with Momodu as his running mate in a speculative electoral ticket.
However, Momodu swiftly distanced himself from the image, describing it as a misleading creation intended to cause distraction within the political space and his party.
Reacting via his verified X account, the former presidential aspirant stated that he initially dismissed the poster as a joke but later began receiving widespread attention and messages referencing it.
He urged supporters and party members to disregard the image completely, making it clear that he is not pursuing any electoral position in the upcoming cycle.
Momodu emphasised that his current political stance is focused on supporting a broader coalition of opposition parties working to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He added that his priority is to back competent leaders within the ADC once official candidates emerge, rather than personally contesting for office again.
