Sule Lamido Wike Dismissal Claim Sparks Political Debate

Sule Lamido Wike dismissal claim suggests Tinubu will sack FCT minister once his South-South political goals are met. Comments fuel speculation on internal politics

Sule Lamido Wike dismissal claim has stirred political speculation after the former Jigawa State governor alleged that President Bola Tinubu will remove FCT Minister Nyesom Wike once his political objectives in the South-South region are fulfilled.

Speaking on Arise TV’s Prime Time on Tuesday, Lamido claimed that Wike’s appointment served a strategic purpose.

“Tinubu was looking for someone who will help him in his political interest,” he said. “The whole appointment of Wike was to make sure Tinubu secures the South-South.”

According to Lamido, Tinubu has already made significant inroads into Akwa Ibom, Edo, and Rivers States regions long dominated by opposition forces.

“By the time Tinubu is able to secure the South-South in his own basket, Wike will become irrelevant, and he will remove him,” Lamido asserted.

The comments have triggered debates over Tinubu’s political alliances and whether Wike’s influence will wane once his perceived usefulness ends.
