Ajadi issued the statement on Friday, describing the BoT’s assumption of leadership roles as a timely move to prevent a leadership vacuum and reposition the PDP for unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said the intervention presents an opportunity for reconciliation and renewed focus among party stakeholders across the country.
Ajadi congratulated members of the PDP nationwide, noting that the current phase requires collective sacrifice and restraint to rebuild trust within the party structure.
He urged aggrieved stakeholders to support the BoT’s efforts in convening an emergency National Executive Committee meeting, which he said is expected to establish an interim leadership framework.
According to him, such a structure is necessary to guide the party through restructuring and ensure compliance with electoral requirements.
The aspirant stressed that unity remains the most critical ingredient for the PDP’s success in future elections.
He called on governors, lawmakers, youth groups, women’s wings, and state chapters to rally behind the ongoing reconciliation process.
Ajadi further noted that the party must learn from its internal challenges and emerge stronger, more organised, and more focused on governance delivery.
He said the PDP belongs to all members and urged stakeholders to prioritise dialogue over division.
