Residents of Ise Ekiti and Ijesa Isu have urged Governor Biodun Oyebanji to deliver on pledges that could transform their towns.

The Ten O’s Club of Ise Ekiti, through a letter signed by National Secretary Patrick Abayomi, pressed for the construction of a world-class Olowe Museum to honour the late master carver Olowe of Ise.

This project, they argue, is vital to preserving a rich cultural heritage and boosting tourism revenue.

Abayomi emphasised the governor’s earlier commitment to this museum, describing it as a critical contribution to historical education and town development.

The letter expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji’s second tenure will finally see the project through.

Meanwhile, Ijesa Isu residents, represented by their Regent, Princess Omobolaji Adeniyi, appealed for the urgent rehabilitation of the Iluomoba–Ijesa Isu–Ikole Road.

As an agrarian community, the residents depend on this route to transport farm produce efficiently.

Princess Adeniyi highlighted the community’s faith in the governor’s promises and the vital need for improved infrastructure to boost local livelihoods.

Governor Oyebanji has reiterated his administration’s commitment to road development, listing completed projects like the Ekiti Ring Road and several key regional routes.

He also noted ongoing construction of over 132 kilometres of rural roads in partnership with the World Bank under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project.
