Onuigbo spoke to newsmen on Sunday during a family thanksgiving at St Paul’s Methodist Church, Obuohia Obi-Ibere, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State.

He noted that while the country faced challenges, Tinubu had successfully steered the nation over his first two years in office.

Onuigbo, who represents the South-East on the Governing Board of the North East Development Commission, highlighted key indicators of economic improvement.

“I have no doubt whatsoever that in 2027, Tinubu will be re-elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.

“The facts from the National Bureau of Statistics show that prices of food items have been coming down steadily. Inflation has decreased, and he has unified foreign exchange rates. Interestingly, nobody has gone in search of fuel with jerry cans throughout this festive period. These are upward economic movements. So, I’m convinced that he will be re-elected.”

Onuigbo, a two-term representative for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency of Abia, said the thanksgiving was in honour of God’s mercy on him and his family.

“We have been through a lot, including a series of political challenges, but God saw us through, and that is why we have come to show Him gratitude,” he said.

A former Commissioner for Lands and Finance, Onuigbo also pledged to rebuild the church in his community as a mark of appreciation for God’s blessings.

In his sermon, the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr Oliver Aba, encouraged the congregation to cultivate gratitude, referencing the story of the ten lepers in the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 17.
