Olujimi’s APC defection signals a remarkable shift in Ekiti State politics as former Deputy Governor Senator Biodun Olujimi announces a newfound cordial relationship with ex-Governor Ayo Fayose.

This development follows her recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During a TVC interview, Olujimi revealed that their shared political direction now unites them, focusing on supporting President Bola Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji for second terms.
She emphasized their mutual goal of continuity in governance at both state and federal levels.
“I think the goal is to get the president to continue with his good works and ensure that a second time is given to him so that he can complete whatever he has started,” she said.
Olujimi cited admiration for Tinubu’s bold decision-making and steadfastness under pressure as key reasons behind her defection.
“This is the first time I will see a government take tough decisions, stand by it, and run with it,” she added.
The former Senate Minority Leader stressed her intention to contribute meaningfully to the APC, prioritizing the party’s growth over personal gain.
