The presidential forms nomination was concluded on Thursday night at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, where he arrived to a warm reception from supporters, youth groups and party members.
The economist becomes the first aspirant to secure the ADC presidential nomination form, which was presented to him by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo.
The atmosphere at the venue was charged with excitement as supporters chanted solidarity songs, calling for leadership that would prioritise security, economic stability and improved living conditions for Nigerians.
Speaking after receiving the nomination form, Hayatu-Deen said the 2027 election must centre on rebuilding Nigeria’s struggling economy and restoring national security.
“Nigerians are tired of living in fear. They are tired of watching businesses struggle, jobs disappear, and the cost of basic necessities rise beyond what ordinary people can afford,” he said.
He stressed that the upcoming election should not follow what he described as “politics as usual”, but rather focus on practical solutions to national challenges.
“This election cannot be about politics as usual. It must be about how to secure our communities, rebuild confidence in the economy, create jobs at scale, and make life more affordable for millions of Nigerians,” he added.
Hayatu-Deen described insecurity as a critical threat to national development, warning that no meaningful economic growth can be achieved without stability.
“We cannot build prosperity in an atmosphere of fear and instability. Security is the foundation upon which every strong economy is built,” he stated.
He also pledged to introduce policies aimed at reducing the cost of doing business, supporting small and medium-scale enterprises, and expanding opportunities for young Nigerians.
“I have spent decades helping businesses grow and supporting the creation of jobs. Nigeria has the talent and potential to succeed, but we need disciplined leadership and serious execution,” he said.
