APC candidate upload reaches 100% as the party confirms submission of governorship and State Assembly candidates ahead of the 2027 elections
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has completed the upload of its governorship, deputy governorship and State House of Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal ahead of the 2027 general elections.

APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, announced the development on Friday, August 7, 2026, saying the party had achieved full compliance with the nomination requirements for the upcoming electoral cycle.
Yilwatda said the completion of the APC candidate upload process involved 56 governorship and deputy governorship candidates as well as 1,015 State Assembly candidates nationwide.
“I am pleased to announce that the All Progressives Congress, APC, has successfully achieved a 100% upload of all our 56 Governorship and Deputy Governorship, and 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal,” he said.
The party chairman congratulated APC leaders, members and candidates across the country, describing the milestone as a reflection of the party’s organisational capacity and preparation for the next stage of the election process.
“This milestone reflects the organisational strength of our great party,” Yilwatda said.
The completion of the nomination upload marks an important administrative step for political parties preparing for the 2027 elections, as INEC continues its preparations for the nationwide polls.
Yilwatda said the party would now focus on engaging with Nigerians and presenting its programmes and achievements ahead of the election.
He added that the APC would continue to highlight the policies and projects of President Bola Tinubu’s administration as part of its campaign efforts.
