Davido Warns Tinubu Over Osun Election, saying he may involve Donald Trump if concerns arise over the fairness of the August 15 governorship poll
Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that he would seek international attention if he believes anything goes wrong during the upcoming Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15.

Davido made the statement during a live online conversation with comedian Carter Efe, where he stressed the importance of ensuring a free, fair and credible electoral process.
The singer said he would not remain silent if he perceived irregularities during the election, adding that he was prepared to involve United States President Donald Trump to draw global attention to any concerns.
“I will involve Trump if anything goes wrong in the Osun election,” Davido said during the session.
The comment comes as political attention intensifies ahead of the Osun governorship poll, where incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke is seeking a second term.
Davido, who is Governor Adeleke’s nephew, has been actively supporting the governor’s re-election campaign and has repeatedly called for transparency throughout the electoral process.
