Aisha Yesufu’s Bid for FCT Senate Seat declaration was made on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where she spoke firmly about her political intentions and confidence in voters within the nation’s capital.

Yesufu stressed that she would not engage in any form of electoral malpractice but warned that she would resist any attempt to subvert the will of the people.

“I will not do any illegality. I am not going to steal anybody’s vote, but if I am able to clinch my party ticket and we get to the general election, anyone who thinks they will rig the vote that the people have given me, will know that when they go low, I will go underground,” she said.

The activist added that she does not see herself as an easy opponent, insisting she is prepared for a competitive political race.

“Nobody has monopoly of anyhowness. I don’t think I look like someone who is a walk-over to anybody,” she stated.

Yesufu also expressed strong confidence in voters in Abuja, describing them as decisive and resistant to political imposition.

“One of the things I also know about the politics of Abuja is, when it comes to the general election, Abuja residents are very, very firm in their decision,” she said.
