APC lawmaker Sani Jaji urges fair membership registration in Zamfara, warning internal rivalries are blocking some party members
Sani Jaji, member of the House of Representatives representing Kaura-Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency, has called for a fair and transparent electronic membership registration process by the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State.

Jaji alleged that internal party rivalries have prevented some members from registering, claiming that the e-registration exercise had been “hijacked” to marginalise specific groups, including certain state party officials.
The lawmaker made the call while briefing journalists at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja, noting that he informed National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda of the situation and the need for intervention.
He said supporters later informed him that even members aligned with his political movement were denied registration, and that he himself has yet to be registered despite being a sitting federal legislator.
Jaji warned that unchecked internal disputes could undermine the party’s prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections, drawing parallels with internal crises that weakened the Peoples Democratic Party in the past.
He noted that the absence of a clearly recognised APC leader in Zamfara has contributed to ongoing disagreements since the party lost control of the state government.
Jaji said the APC chairman assured him that the issue would be addressed and that officials of the National Working Committee had been directed to intervene.

He emphasised that the challenges are internal, not caused by external opposition, and insisted that the party remains strong in Zamfara.
