APC Announces Crucial Meetings Amid Growing Internal Pressure

APC meetings set for 15–16 December as caucus and NEC convene at the Presidential Villa to address key party issues

The All Progressives Congress on Wednesday announced that its National Caucus and National Executive Committee will meet on Monday, 15 December 2025, and Tuesday, 16 December 2025, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The notice was issued by APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru and published on the party’s website.

The National Caucus meeting is scheduled for 6:00 pm on 15 December and will bring together senior party figures empowered under Article 11 of the APC Constitution. The gathering will include the National Chairman, Deputy National Chairmen, the National Secretary, principal officers of the National Working Committee, and past and present Presidents and Vice Presidents who are party members.

Others summoned include presidential and vice-presidential candidates, leaders of the National Assembly, serving and former governors, state chairmen, zonal leaders and designated representatives. Senator Basiru stated that all caucus members are required to take notice of the meeting in line with Article 11.5 of the party constitution.

The National Executive Committee will convene at 12:00 pm on 16 December in accordance with Article 13.1 of the APC Constitution. Its membership includes the National Chairman, the National Secretary, deputy officers, financial and legal officers, the National Publicity Secretary, state chairmen, zonal representatives and members elected at the National Convention.

The National Secretary noted that NEC members must take formal notice of the meeting as required under Article 12.3, adding that the two-day engagements would provide an opportunity for strategic deliberations as the party prepares for the year ahead.
