APC delegates road accident claims three lives from Kebbi State en route to Abuja convention, with Governor Idris expressing shock and condolences
Three members of a delegation of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Kebbi State were killed in a road accident while travelling to Abuja to attend the party’s national convention, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

The APC delegates road accident involved Hadiza Sabo Warrah, a councillor representing Warrah Ward; Sahabi Alheri, a councillor representing Birnin Yauri Ward in Ngaski Local Government Area; and Abubakar Sadiq, Senior Special Assistant to the Kebbi State Governor on social media.
According to a statement issued by Yahaya Sarki, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Kebbi State Governor, the incident occurred when the victims were struck by a moving vehicle while attempting to cross the road.
Their vehicle had reportedly stopped along the route during their journey to the Federal Capital Territory for the party’s convention.
The statement confirmed that the three individuals sustained injuries in the incident and were later pronounced dead.
The tragic development has drawn widespread reactions across the state and within political circles, highlighting the risks associated with long-distance travel on major highways.
Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris expressed deep shock over the loss and extended condolences to the families of the deceased.
He described their deaths as a significant loss to the state, noting that each of them had contributed in different capacities to public service and community development.
The governor also offered prayers for the forgiveness of their sins and for Allah to grant them eternal rest.
His message reflected the gravity of the incident and the impact it has had on both the local government areas they represented and the wider APC structure in Kebbi State.
