Akwa Ibom Model Primary School commissioned by Governor Umo Eno to improve rural education with advanced facilities under the ARISE Agenda for sustainable development
Akwa Ibom Model Primary School has officially been commissioned by Governor Umo Eno’s administration, marking a major step forward in the state’s commitment to delivering quality education.

The new facility, located in Ikot Isong, Etinan LGA, was unveiled on Thursday.
Represented by his Political Adviser, Prince Godwin Udeh, the Governor reaffirmed that education remains a top priority under the ARISE Agenda.
“This investment is exceptional,” Udeh said. “It’s a benchmark for educational excellence and a proactive step toward reducing rural-urban migration.”
Teachers were urged to embrace their duties with renewed diligence, while stakeholders were called upon to maintain the school’s high standards.
Facilities at the Akwa Ibom Model Primary School include a computer lab, medical clinic, 500-seat auditorium, standard football field, staff quarters, and solar energy systems.
Etinan LGA Chairman, Uko Umoh, praised the Governor’s swift action, donating 20,000 exercise books and 250 uniforms for local pupils.

Traditional leaders and commissioners echoed support, calling the initiative generational.
