Peter Obi return to PDP possible, says Jerry Gana. The PDP has reached out to the former member and others with a now “solid platform” to bring them back

Speaking during an AIT programme Focus Nigeria on Friday, Gana confirmed outreach efforts not only to Obi but to other former members as well.
Obi had resigned from the PDP in May 2022, just before the presidential primary. He cited “recent developments” within the party that discouraged meaningful participation.
When asked directly if Peter Obi had been approached, Gana responded, “Why not?” He further explained that the PDP is now offering a stronger, more structured platform.
“I can now go back to these people and say the platform you were complaining about is now set,” Gana stated confidently, implying a positive shift in the party’s internal organization.
