Addressing party stakeholders, Ajadi outlined his “Omituntun 3.0” vision, linking it directly to the continuity of Governor Seyi Makinde’s developmental programmes. “I have come to introduce myself to our leaders and members.
My governorship ambition is to succeed His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, and consolidate his record of good governance,” he said.
Ajadi appealed to women and youths to support his candidacy, emphasising the importance of political mobilisation to sustain the state’s progress. He positioned himself as the next phase of Oyo State’s development, declaring: “Governor Makinde delivered Omituntun 1.0 and is implementing Omituntun 2.0. I stand before you as Omituntun 3.0, seeking your support to move the state forward.”
On empowerment initiatives, Ajadi confirmed that the Ajadi Movement is registering beneficiaries to ensure accurate records.
He also announced plans to provide scholarships for secondary school students starting January and pledged a solar power system for the Ibadan North East PDP Secretariat.
The Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun Abuye, praised Ajadi for personally engaging with party leaders, contrasting him with other aspirants who rely solely on online announcements.
“Some aspirants are governors on Facebook, but Ambassador Ajadi is on the ground, meeting leaders and members face to face,” Abuye said.
Ward leaders and party executives expressed confidence in Ajadi’s leadership qualities. Alausa Dauda, Chairman of Ward 4, described Ibadan North East as the strongest PDP stronghold in the state, while Wasiu Tijani, Chairman of Ward 12, urged support for voter registration among elderly members.
Former Woman Leader Alhaja Nike prayed for Ajadi’s success, highlighting his consultative approach as evidence of readiness for governance.
