Ahmed Aliyu Vows Bold Action to End Banditry in Sokoto

Ahmed Aliyu ends banditry remains the central mission of the Sokoto State Government, as Governor Ahmed Aliyu reaffirms his unwavering commitment to restoring peace and security across the region.

Speaking during the 9th regular meeting of the State Executive Council at the Government House on Wednesday, Governor Aliyu declared that his administration is fully focused on eliminating banditry and criminal activities in affected local governments.

“We have equally introduced new strategies that, by Allah’s will, will help us end banditry in Sokoto State,” Aliyu confidently stated.

The governor emphasized that the Ahmed Aliyu ends banditry campaign involves continuous provision of logistics and support to security agencies.

According to him, insecurity has crippled socio-economic life in some communities, but his administration will not rest until the threat is neutralized.

He further appealed for citizens’ support in the fight against crime, urging residents to cooperate with security personnel and report suspicious activities.

In another strong directive, Governor Aliyu tasked all commissioners to regularly inspect awarded contracts, stressing that substandard projects and delays will not be tolerated.

“The people of Sokoto deserve quality projects. Standards must never be compromised,” he said.

Aliyu praised Sokoto residents for their ongoing support and reaffirmed his promise to deliver democratic dividends across the state.
