Adeola made the appeal on Tuesday during a stakeholder engagement visit to former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Sarà fa Ishola, in Abeokuta.
The meeting formed part of ongoing consultations with key political actors across the state as the APC prepares for internal consolidation ahead of the governorship race.
Ishola, who was also an aspirant for the party’s ticket, was among those Adeola sought to reconcile with as part of efforts to strengthen internal cohesion.
The senator praised Ishola’s contributions to Ogun State and national development, urging him to support a collective political direction within the party.
He stressed that the ongoing political process should not create division or produce winners and losers, but rather strengthen unity and shared responsibility.
Adeola described his ambition as a collective project aimed at advancing Ogun State’s development, adding that collaboration remains essential for sustainable progress.
In response, Ishola welcomed the delegation and congratulated Adeola on emerging as the consensus candidate of the APC in the state.
He noted that while politics is driven by competing interests, it must not be allowed to create bitterness or long-term division.
The former envoy also reaffirmed his commitment to the Yewa Agenda and broader aspirations within Ogun West, while calling for stable political transitions.
He referenced his past political engagements, including his role in the 2011 governorship campaign of the late General Tunji Olurin.
Ishola further stated that he has engaged senior political figures, including Chief Olusegun Osoba, Chief Gbenga Daniel, and Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on the importance of avoiding disruptive political transitions.
