Ndutimi “Timi” Alaibe is a prominent Nigerian technocrat, businessman, and politician from Bayelsa State, celebrated for his extensive contributions to banking and public service, particularly in the Niger Delta region.
Born on June 10, 1962, Alaibe enjoyed a distinguished career in the private sector as a seasoned banker for over two decades before transitioning to public service.
He gained national recognition as the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), a role he held from 2007 to 2009, having previously served as the Executive Director in charge of Finance and Administration.
During his tenure at the NDDC, he was instrumental in establishing a prudent fiscal regime and advocating for non-violent solutions to the region’s challenges.
Alaibe has also been a consistent governorship aspirant in Bayelsa State, demonstrating a persistent commitment to leadership and development within his home state and the broader Niger Delta.
