Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed is a distinguished Nigerian politician, economist, and educationist.
Born on July 7, 1969, he is widely recognized as the founder of Baze University, a private university in Abuja.
Baba-Ahmed holds multiple degrees, including a BSc and MSc in Economics from the University of Maiduguri, an MBA from the University of Wales, and a PhD in economics from the University of Westminster.
His political journey includes serving as a member of the House of Representatives for Zaria from 2003 to 2007, and later as a Senator representing Kaduna North Senatorial District in 2011.
Known for his integrity and anti-corruption stance, he was the Vice-Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 Nigerian presidential election alongside Peter Obi.
