Soludo infrastructure drive praised by Nkem Okeke for transforming Anambra’s rural and urban areas and boosting investment opportunities
Former Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke, has commended Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for his aggressive Soludo infrastructure drive, describing the administration’s efforts as a step towards making the state a “prosperous homeland” for its residents.

Okeke, who served as deputy governor between 2014 and 2021 under former Governor Willie Obiano, made the remarks during a tour of high-impact projects executed by the state government on Sunday.
He noted that the projects demonstrate strategic governance and people-oriented policies.
“The infrastructural revolution and urban renewal reflect a shift towards world-class social investment. It is a seamless integration of infrastructure across both urban and rural corridors,” Okeke said.
He highlighted facilities such as the Solution Fun City and the Country Club as more than leisure hubs, describing them as “critical drivers of social cohesion, economic growth, and youth engagement, providing constructive outlets and modern amenities for the younger generation.”
The tour, led by Chinedu Nwoye, Chief Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, concluded at the Light House in Awka, where Okeke observed the integration of infrastructural developments across the state’s urban and rural areas.
Okeke praised the Soludo administration for its commitment to road networks, public utilities, and recreational hubs, calling the investments a foundation for a modern Anambra and positioning the state as a destination for major investments.
In August 2025, Governor Soludo reiterated his commitment to transforming Anambra into an investment and destination hub, urging all residents to join in developing the state.
He also noted that the state’s new security outfits, Agụnechemba and Udo Ga Achi, are performing effectively in combating crime.
