In a statement issued on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Radda congratulated Shettima on his 2027 retention, describing the decision as a vote of confidence in the vice president’s contributions over the past three years.
“Vice President Shettima has served with diligence and the President’s decision to retain him speaks to his performance and his loyalty,” Radda said.
The governor noted that Shettima has played key roles in the Tinubu administration, including chairing the Presidential Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and leading initiatives on energy security and economic policy.
According to Radda, the responsibilities entrusted to the vice president required administrative competence and sound political judgment, qualities he said Shettima had consistently demonstrated.
“The President’s choice to retain Vice President Shettima indicates satisfaction with his handling of these responsibilities,” the governor added.
Radda also congratulated Shettima on behalf of the Katsina State Government and its people, describing the decision as recognition of the vice president’s hard work and unwavering dedication to national service.
He expressed confidence that Shettima would continue to make meaningful contributions to the administration if re-elected in 2027.
The endorsement comes after President Tinubu confirmed Shettima as his running mate for the next presidential election, ending months of speculation over whether the All Progressives Congress would retain the current ticket.
