The faction announced the development on Sunday, 12 July 2026, as political parties continue preparations for the next electoral cycle and work to meet INEC’s candidate submission requirements.
Nafiu Bala, in a statement, said the group had completed the process but did not disclose the identities of the candidates submitted to the electoral body.
“The African Democratic Congress, ADC, under my leadership, has successfully completed the upload of our Presidential, Vice-Presidential, and National Assembly candidates on the INEC portal for the 2027 General Elections,” Bala said.
The faction leader described the move as part of efforts to present credible candidates capable of providing effective leadership if elected.
Bala said the party remained committed to protecting the interests of its founding and legacy members while promoting what he described as a people-focused political platform.
“As a Party, the ADC remains resolute in its mission to field credible, competent, and people-centered candidates who will provide purposeful leadership, promote good governance, and bring hope to the Nigerian people,” he added.
The submission comes amid increased political activity ahead of the 2027 elections, with major parties completing candidate nomination processes and others working to finalise their submissions within the timeline provided by INEC.
INEC recently extended the deadline for political parties to submit candidate details for the presidential and National Assembly elections, moving the closing date from 11 July to 14 July 2026.

The development adds to the growing preparations by political parties seeking to position themselves ahead of the national contest, where issues including governance, economic conditions and public confidence are expected to shape the campaign landscape.
