Saidi Balogun Heads Tinubu 2027 Support Walk

Saidi Balogun Joins Tinubu Support Movement Walk, draws attention as actor leads RETSO rally backing President Bola Tinubu ahead of 2027

Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun on Thursday led a political support walk organised by the Remi Tinubu Support Organisation, RETSO, and allied groups in Lagos, urging Nigerians to back President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

Saidi Balogun Leads Tinubu Support Rally Walk, branded the Renewed Hope Walk, attracted party supporters and members of the Progressive Coalition, with fellow actor Dele Fagboyo also participating in the procession.

Speaking during the event, Saidi Balogun openly declared support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying the gathering was organised to mobilise support for 2027.

At a press briefing held alongside the march, the actor appealed for patience from Nigerians, arguing that ongoing reforms and development projects require more time to deliver visible results.

Saidi Balogun said the administration had begun several initiatives that should be completed, insisting that voters should consider continuity before making political judgments.

The walk formed part of broader grassroots mobilisation efforts by RETSO, a political group associated with First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and supportive of the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.

Organisers say similar engagements are expected in the coming months as campaign momentum gradually builds towards the next election cycle.

The powerful presence of entertainers at the event also highlights a growing trend of public figures taking visible political positions ahead of major elections.
