Speaking on Channels Television, ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi emphasized that while Obi isn’t formally registered with the ADC, he has been a committed part of their coalition since its inception.
“Peter Obi has been part of the coalition from day one,” Abdullahi said. “He asked for leave to complete the election under the Labour Party, and we respected that.”
Abdullahi likened the situation to that of former Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, who also participated in the coalition without immediate formal membership.
Despite lacking official party registration, Obi’s consistent involvement in meetings and strategy underscores his deep alignment with the coalition’s values.
