The suspension was announced in a letter issued by the Magaji Ngeri Ward Executive Committee in Ilorin West Local Government Area on Monday, June 2, 2026.
According to the party, Hassan was earlier notified of allegations against him in a letter dated May 30, 2026, and was invited to appear before a seven-man disciplinary committee constituted by the ward.
The committee stated that the aspirant failed to honour the invitation, an action it described as an admission of guilt regarding the allegations.
It added that his conduct contravened the provisions of the PDP Constitution, particularly Sections 57 and 59(1), which outline disciplinary procedures for erring members.
“The Ward Executive Committee hereby suspends you from all Party activities and functions for a period of one month, with effect from the date of this letter,” the statement read.
The party also barred Hassan from participating in all PDP meetings, programmes and activities at the ward, local government, state and national levels during the suspension period.
Party officials maintained that the decision was taken to uphold discipline and internal order within the party structure in the state.
