PDP presidential form ₦51 million fee set by Wike faction as NEC approves nomination costs ahead of 2027 primaries in Abuja
The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has fixed the cost of its presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination Form at ₦51 million ahead of the 2027 general elections.

PDP Fixes ₦51m Cost for Presidential Nomination Form Wike faction decision was confirmed following resolutions reached at a National Executive Committee meeting held on Monday at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
According to party sources, the Expression of Interest form was pegged at ₦1 million, while the nomination form carries a ₦50 million price tag, bringing the total to ₦51 million for aspirants seeking the presidential ticket.
A party insider noted that the NEC has approved the figures and that preparations for the 2027 primary elections have officially commenced, with activities expected to conclude by 29 May.
Despite internal divisions, the faction insists that the PDP will field a presidential candidate in the upcoming election cycle, even as its leadership structure remains contested.
The PDP has continued to grapple with a prolonged leadership crisis, resulting in the emergence of rival factions within the party.
While the Wike-aligned group is led by Abdulrahman Mohammed, another faction backed by governors is headed by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN.
