The declaration took place at Muslim Grammar School, Ibadan, during a political event tagged “Declaration to Victory,” which attracted supporters, political associates, and local stakeholders.
Ara announced both his official defection to the Accord Party and his 2027 legislative ambition, describing the event as a major political transition.
He stated that the gathering symbolised his move into a new political platform alongside supporters who followed him into the party.
The aspirant claimed that over 10,000 supporters across various political affiliations had aligned with the Accord Party during the mobilisation exercise.
Ara also used the platform to express concerns about Nigeria’s democratic system, warning against any move toward a one-party structure.
He described such a system as harmful to democratic governance and argued that political diversity remains essential for national stability.
Outlining his agenda, Ara pledged to focus on education, healthcare, electricity, security, and skills development if elected to the National Assembly.
He promised legislative interventions aimed at improving living standards and driving development across Oluyole Federal Constituency.
Ara further proposed the establishment of a specialised anti-stroke hospital to address rising health concerns among elderly residents in the area.
He also highlighted plans to push for the creation of a federal university and a polytechnic to expand access to higher education for youths in the constituency.
