Osun APC motor parks row widened as the party called Accord’s claim of a violent takeover with MC Oluomo false and unproven
On Monday, 21 September 2026, the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress rejected an Accord claim that the party was working with National Union of Road Transport Workers leader Musiliu Akinsanya, known as MC Oluomo, to seize Osun APC motor parks by force.

Director of Media and Information Kola Olabisi issued the reply a day after Accord state chairman Pastor Victor Akande accused the APC and Musiliu Akinsanya of planning a violent takeover, allegedly through Kazeem Oyewale, known as Asiri Eniba, and some APC members.
The APC called the charge “ill-conceived, false and fabricated” and said it had no role in running the NURTW. “We, as a political party, have no business in the running of the NURTW in the state as such is not captured in any of the provisions of the Constitution of our party.” It asked the public and the police to ignore a claim it called “frivolous, reckless, diversionary and without any proof.”
The party said state interference in the union would also be wrong. “How many times do we need to spoon-feed the Accord handlers and the state government with the sufficient and elaborate position of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended?” It said any breach of the peace should be laid at the door of the state government and Accord, and that the government should govern after the last governorship poll instead of “chasing shadows.”
The APC said Musiliu Akinsanya had sworn in a six-month caretaker committee led by Kazeem Oyewale.
It opposed a reported call for the police to take over parks, citing Section 7(1) of the 1999 Constitution and local government control of public motor parks and revenue.
The row sits on a live NURTW leadership fight and recent violence over park control, including the killing of Olamilekan Oyeyemi, known as Emir Ajagungbade, in Ile-Ife on 13 September 2026.

The APC had earlier criticised a proposed state Park Management System. Accord’s allegation and the APC denial now stand as competing public statements. No independent finding on a planned takeover has been published in this report.
