FCT Minister Nyesom Wike reportedly survives midair engine failure aboard private jet. Witnesses describe tense moments as he prayed for divine intervention
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, reportedly escaped a near-death experience on Monday after the private jet he was travelling in suffered engine failure midair.

In a now-viral video circulating on social media, Wike could be heard praying fervently as the pilots battled to stabilise the troubled aircraft.
Among the phrases caught on tape were: “Satan, you are a liar” and “Father, please take charge”, highlighting the fear and desperation during the incident.

Though the Minister has yet to issue an official statement confirming or denying the report, sources in Rivers State have corroborated the story, expressing gratitude to God for his safety.

If verified, this would not be the first time Wike has faced a life-threatening situation.
Following the 2023 presidential election, he disclosed that he was once poisoned during a political meeting, resulting in liver damage.
